On Thursday at 2:57 p.m., 9-1-1 calls were received at the Pleasantville Police Department reporting that victims had been shot on the 100 block of Linden Avenue, according to Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner.
Pleasantville police officers foumd Maurice Hampton, also known as Abdul Hamid shot and killed, Tyner said. An autopsy was being performed on Friday.
Two 18 year-old shooting victims who survived were identified as Messiah Burton and Shilameen Henderson, both of Pleasantville. They were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Campus.
This cooperative investigation between the ACPO Major Crimes Unit and the Pleasantville Police Department is active and ongoing.
